Carmel, Pacific Grove, and Fisherman's Wharf

11/8/2011
My day started early with a trip down the hill to the Carmel Bagel Bakery to pick up breakfast and a hop over to the Carmel Valley Roasting Company for Coffee and then a short trip to the bottom of Ocean Ave to sit and enjoy the views.

I then headed into Pacific Grove and drove by our old house on Miles Avenue, it pretty much looks the same.
Then I found myself going to a trail in the woods I used to hike and for old times sake...I hiked it :)

After a very relaxing hike (and a walk in memory lane) I headed towards the Ocean to start the drive from Pacific Grove to Monterey. Of course taking pictures the whole way!

Below is the iconic Pacific Grove Coastline

Then I headed into Monterey and drove through the Famous Cannery Row (Yes, Hemingway's Cannery row)

and finally I ended up at Monterey's Fisherman's Wharf!.

By mid afternoon, my Mother and I  went down for haircuts and the a drive up to the top of Carmel Knolls Drive (the street where they live)

A nice dinner with the folks included Roasted Chicken with Sour Cream Mashed potatoes and a Mixed Greens Salad with Artichoke Hearts rounded out a very nice day!

Tomorrow I head out into the heartland of California too see whats out there!!

Cheers!
