Steckler Homestead and Point Lobos State Natural Reserve

As the sun rose into the air I had to jump outside an capture some of that great early light, and what better than my parents house.


Yes, until I was 13 this was where i grew up.
This 1913 era bench was rescued from the trash and restore by my father.






My goal for today was to get a really good hike in by visiting Point Lobos State Natural Preserve. Check out there website here...

This area is one of the most beautiful places on the face of the earth....PERIOD! I spent about 3 hours hiking down then and also ate my lunch down by Whalers Cove. This was the view I had while eating.
